fonts-samyak-mlym software package provides Samyak TrueType font for Malayalam language, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-samyak-mlym
fonts-samyak-mlym is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-samyak-mlym package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-samyak-mlym *
You will get with fonts-samyak-mlym package name, version, architecture and description in a table
